Prior to a meeting with congressional Republicans, President Trump clarified some of his statements the previous day at a news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin about Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. He said, “The sentence should have been ‘I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia,’ sort of a double negative,” and that he accepts the U.S. intelligence agencies' findings and had “full faith” in those agencies. close
