British Prime Minister Theresa May appeared before a parliamentary committee to answer questions about the state negotiations on the U.K’s exit from the European Union, also known as “Brexit.” The prime minister’s recent round of negotiations came under fire when two cabinet officials, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and Brexit Secretary David Davis, resigned due to disagreements over the handling of the deal. The prime minister presented the various strategies and proposed measures to ensure an exit strategy that benefits the U.K. Committee members asked about the impact of Brexit on trade policy, science and innovation, transportation, and the U.K.'s fishing and agriculture sectors in this portion of the hearing. close
