Camp Colt in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, was the first post established during World War I to train soldiers to use tanks, and it was Dwight D. Eisenhower’s first command. Paul Shevchuk, former National Park Service ranger and historian, showed camp photos and described how Eisenhower’s time there shaped his military career. The Eisenhower National Historic Site in Gettysburg hosted the program. close
