British Defense Secretary Gavin Williamson discussed NATO alliance and the U.K.'s global leadership. Mr. Williamson, who succeeded Michael Fallon in 2017, addressed the recent NATO summit in Brussels, defense readiness, military modernization and the U.S.-U.K. transatlantic relationship. He described the Anglo-American values as the cornerstone of the Western world, but said to “never, never underestimate my nation.” Following his remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
