The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) hosted a discussion with journalists, educators and others on reporting in hostile political climates. Scenarios discussed ranged from reporting from countries in conflict to political rallies in which members of the media were heckled and jeered. Panelists shared stories of their experiences in these situations and gave advice for how best to prepare and educate journalism students and young reporters for what they could face on the job. close
