Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue was joined by Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Ron Wyden (D-OR), Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Steve Daines (R-MT) to announce a new strategy for improving America’s forest lands. Much of the work will focus on improving partnerships between federal and state forestry officials. Following the announcement, the leaders took some questions from reporters, including on efforts to combat numerous ongoing wildfires in the western states. close
