National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins testified before the Senate Health Committee about ongoing science and research at NIH. He was joined by four of his colleagues who answered specific questions relevant to the work of the institutes they oversee. Members and witnesses discussed a wide range of health, research and funding topics. Dr. Collins also talked about a letter he sent to roughly 10,000 research institutions warning them against foreign influence in their biomedical research and reminding them of their obligations as recipients of NIH grants. close
