The White House Historical Association convened a meeting in Washington, D.C., of those who work at presidential sites around the country -- and of descendants of presidents from James Monroe to Gerald Ford. In this discussion, panelists talked about the work of telling presidential stories over time. Speakers included Miller Center historian Barbara Perry, author Richard Norton Smith, former Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library and Museum director Mark Updegrove, and Jeffrey Engel, director of the Center for Presidential History at Southern Methodist University. close
