The CATO Institute, a libertarian public policy research organization, hosted a discussion about the impact of state policies and regulations on economic freedom. More specifically, the event analyzed the findings of a new “Freedom in the 50 States” report authored by Charles Koch Institute Policy and Research Vice President William Ruger and Dartmouth College Political Economy Director Jason Sorens. According to the study, Florida and New Hampshire experienced the most personal and economic freedom while New York and Hawaii experienced the least amount of freedom. close
