The Supreme Court heard oral argument for Frank v. Gaos, concerning the distribution of the monetary awards from class action settlements. Attorney Theodore Frank, the plaintiff, argued the case before the justices. He was challenging the fairness of an $8.5 million class-action settlement resolving allegations that Google subsidiary Alphabet Inc. violated user terms with third parties.
