American University debuted its new Sine Institute of Policy and Politics and hosted Senate Foreign Relations Chair Bob Corker (R-TN) as the first guest speaker. He spoke with university president and former Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell about a range of policy issues that included health care, trade relations, and the upcoming 2018 midterm elections. Senator Corker emphasized the need for more bipartisanship and said the elections had become all about partisan politics. He announced earlier in 2018 he would not seek another term in the Senate. close
