The Association for the Study of African American Life and History, known as ASALH, held its 103rd annual meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana. This program featured a history of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture from U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Robert Wilkins, who worked to get it built. Conference organizers also recognized the service of African American veterans. close
