Villanova history Professor Marc Gallicchio talked about his book, Implacable Foes: War in the Pacific, 1944 to 1945. Co-authored with World War II veteran Waldo Heinrichs, the book won the 2018 Bancroft Prize for history and diplomacy and examines grand strategy as well as the experiences of the common soldier during the final bloody months of the war. The New York Military Affairs Symposium hosted this eighty-minute event. close
