Financial regulators testified before the Senate Banking Committee on implementation of the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act. The legislation passed with bipartisan support and was signed into law by President Trump in May 2018. Among the witnesses were Federal Reserve Vice Chair for Supervision Randal Quarles and Comptroller of the Currency Joseph Otting. Mr. Quarles told the committee that banks with more than $250 billion in assets could see regulatory relief and the Federal Reserve was looking at ways to improve the regulatory process. close
