Telephone lines and social media were open to take viewer calls and comments on the U.S. response to the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Mr. Khashoggi was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 2. The previous day, President Trump said it appears Khashoggi is dead, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the U.S. was giving the Saudi government time to investigate the disappearance.
