The Brookings Institution hosted a discussion about the conflict in Yemen and the U.S. policy toward the ongoing violence and related humanitarian issues. Panelists talked about many factors contributing to the crisis, and made suggestions for what they thought the U.S. and international community should do to end the war and help the Yemeni people, many of whom-upwards of 14 million, according to a U.N. assessment-are on the brink of famine. close
