The dedication of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., took place in 1922, almost 60 years after Abraham Lincoln’s death. Harold Holzer talked about his book, Monument Man: The Life and Art of Daniel Chester French, which examines the life of the sculptor best known for the statue of Lincoln that serves as the memorial’s centerpiece.
