The National Action Network (NAN) and its founder Reverent Al Sharpton concluded a two-day legislative and policy conference on Capitol Hill. The event focused on the Democratic legislative agenda for the 116th Congress, including voting rights, the criminal justice system, health care and immigration policy. Among the speakers were House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senators Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and a number of House Democratic members. Following the event, conference participants were scheduled to make a visit to the U.S. Senate. close
