At the beginning of the White House briefing, National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow and National Security Adviser John Bolton previewed the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina, scheduled for the weekend following this briefing. Mr. Bolton said President Trump was set to have bilateral meetings with the leaders of Argentina, South Korea, Turkey, Japan, and Russia. He was also asked about an audio recording which allegedly documented the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi; Mr. Bolton said he had not heard the recording. Sarah Sanders concluded the briefing by taking several questions on issues including the migrant caravan at the Southern border, General Motors auto plant closures, and the president’s confidence in his administration’s climate change report, which was released on November 23, 2018. close
