The Senate Special Aging Committee held a hearing on state-level efforts to overhaul the legal guardianship framework for older Americans as well as their families and caretakers. Representatives of state agencies overseeing the care of at-risk seniors were among the panel of witnesses who answered questions on ways they were working to improve the system and on ways the federal government could encourage positive change in public policy for seniors needing legal guardianship. close
