In day 13 of a government shutdown over President Trump’s demand for funds to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall, the House voted 239-192 to pass a short-term bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security until February 8, 2019. The bill included no funds for a wall.

In a vote of 241-190, the House passed a package of six bills to fund parts of the government through the end of the fiscal year on September 30, 2019.

Members also approved the first of three parts of new rules for the 116th Congress. close
