J.B. Pritzker (D) delivered his inaugural address after being sworn in as the 43rd governor of Illinois. He vowed to work with the state assembly to pass a balanced budget in 2019, and said that he was ready to embrace the hard choices of policy-making. Governor Pritzker expressed hope that the people and legislators of Illinois were willing to be kind to each other in order to find the courage to work together for positive change. close
