Advocates for women’s rights took part in the third annual Women’s March. The first women’s march was held following the inauguration of President Donald Trump. Due to the government shutdown, the 2019 rally was held at Freedom Plaza on Pennsylvania Avenue, between the Capitol and the White House. The Women’s March leadership team as well as representatives from various advocacy organizations, spoke to the marchers about their causes and motivations for being there. close
