The U.S. Senate met and continued debate and engaged in votes on the Hatch Act Reform Bill. The bill established more clear rules regarding actions federal employees could engage in with regard to federal election campaigning. The Senate then took up debate on the National Community Service Bill. Senators did not vote on the bill. At the completion of the business the Senate adjourned until the following morning when they would continue debate on the National Community Service Bill. close
