As he met at the White House with lawmakers on trade policy, President Trump made comments on day 34 of the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. He said if there is a reasonable agreement between Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to end the shutdown, he would support it, but he stressed that a U.S.-Mexico border wall is still needed. close
