Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross testified before the House Oversight and Reform Committee regarding his decision to include a citizenship question in the upcoming 2020 Census. In repeated answers to lawmakers, Secretary Ross defended his decision, calling it a non-partisan one. He also declined to answer several questions citing ongoing litigation regarding the question, which was to be argued before the Supreme Court on April 23, 2019. close
