New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy (D) delivered his first state of the state address from the capital of Trenton. He talked about his legislative priorities for the coming year, including boosts in state investments in education, workforce development, and transportation -- particularly for NJ Transit, the state’s operator of buses, light rail, and commuter trains. Governor Murphy also talked about a recent audit of the state’s tax incentive program for businesses, which he said had cost the state up to $160,000 per job created. close
