The Senate Judiciary Committee met to consider Neomi Rao, President Trump’s nominee to serve on the D.C. Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, as well as two nominees to the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board (PCLOB). Ms. Rao answered questions about past articles and writing she had done on topics that included rape and sexual assault, discrimination, and gay rights. She also explained why she thought she would be a successful judge despite not having previously argued or presided over cases herself. close
