T-Mobile and Sprint executives testified before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology on the proposed merger between the two wireless companies. T-Mobile CEO John Legere fielded questions over whether the proposed merger would be a boon or bane for industry competition and innovation, create or eliminate jobs, and lead to improved service at lower cost. The witnesses discussed what they considered the potential positive and negative points of the proposed merger, and voiced support or opposition to its approval, which would ultimately be determined by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Justice Department. close
