C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2019 LCV Cities Tour” in Pasadena, California, from February 2-8, 2019, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Charter cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2.

Pasadena, California’s, Gamble House is an American Craftsman style home designed by Charles and Henry Greene. The home was built for the Gamble family of the Proctor and Gamble company and has become one of the most recognized homes of this style. Jennifer Trotoux, interim director and curator at the Gamble House, talked about some of the unique characteristics of the home and why the style is so connected to Pasadena’s identity.
