Representative French Hill (R-AR) and National War College Alumni Association historian Janet Breslin-Smith talked about Theodore Roosevelt’s interest in military education and his role in founding what is now known as the National War College in Washington, D.C. The cornerstone was laid on February 21, 1903 in the presence of President Roosevelt and the building is named for him. This event was held at the war college. close
