Undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children, known as DREAMers, as well as foreign nationals testified at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on protections for immigrants. The witnesses urged Congress to pass legislation to provide permanent protection and a pathway to citizenship for recipients of Temporary Protected Status (TPS), Deferred Enforced Departure (DED), and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) programs. Other witnesses included Archdiocese of Washington Bishop Mario Dorsonville, Center for Immigration Studies Fellow Andrew Arthur, and Donald Graham, the co-founder of a scholarship program for immigrant students called TheDream.US. close
