Lynne Olson talked about her book, Madame Fourcade’s Secret War: The Daring Young Woman Who Led France’s Largest Spy Network Against Hitler, in which she recalled the life of Marie-Madeleine Fourcade, the leader of the French Resistance intelligence organization, Alliance, during World War II. The author reported that Fourcade’s network supplied vital information during the War and despite being captured twice by the Gestapo, she survived and was involved in postwar French politics. close
