Author Michael Burlingame spoke at the annual Abraham Lincoln Symposium about Lincoln’s actions as president-elect between his November 1860 election and his March 1861 inauguration. Following his presentation, symposium speakers convened for a panel discussion. And closing remarks were delivered by Abraham Lincoln Institute President Jonathan White. The institute and Ford’s Theatre Society hosted the symposium at historic Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. to highlight the 16th president’s life, career and legacy. close
