Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Joseph Dunford discussed U.S. military priorities at an event hosted by the Atlantic Council. He outlined the main challenges posed by Russia and China and characterized the two nations as “competitors.” In addition, General Dunford voiced his concerns about Google doing business with China, stating that “assisting the Chinese military in advancing technologically is not in U.S. national interest.” Other topics included cybersecurity, North Korea’s nuclear program, and U.S.-Turkey relations. CNN Pentagon correspondent Barbara Starr moderated the conversation. close
