Prime Minister Theresa May fielded questions from members on domestic and international issues during her weekly Question Time session. In response to a series of failed votes on Britain’s exit from the European Union, or “Brexit,” later in the month on March 29, the prime minister announced that she had written a letter to European leaders to seek a short extension for the date on which Brexit would take effect, to June 30. She also answered questions on combating hate crime, environmental policy and carbon emissions, and additional funding for teachers providing food and clothing for students. close
