British Prime Minister Theresa May delivered a statement to reporters on the latest negotiations on Britain’s exit from the European Union (or “Brexit") on March 29, 2019. The prime ministersaid she is "not prepared to delay Brexit any further than the 30th of June” and would work “night and day” to gain the support of members of Parliament in backing her deal. Earlier in the day, she announced she had written a letter to European Union leaders seeking the brief delay until the end of June. close
