To mark the 75th anniversary of Operation Overlord on June 6, 1944, when Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, France, naval historian Craig Symonds talked about Supreme Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower and the naval decisions that led to the D-Day victory. Mr. Symonds is the author of Operation Neptune: The D-Day Landings and the Allied Invasion of Europe. The Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society co-hosted this event. close
