He focused on their thoughts regarding the relationship between individuality and conformity in America and considered the relevance of their analysis today. Mr. Nolan is the author of What They Saw in America: Alexis de Tocqueville, Max Weber, G. K. Chesterton, and Sayyid Qutb. The University of Louisville’s McConnell Center hosted this talk. close
