Columbia University hosted a forum on immigration policy and how to protect immigrant children. NPR’s Maria Hinojosa delivered the keynote about her experience as a child immigrating from Mexico and facing separation from her parents. Her speech was followed by a panel including the ACLU’s lead attorney challenging the Trump administration’s immigration policies and the executive director of the nation’s largest immigrants' rights coalition. The annual Columbia University Dinkins Public Policy Forum began with remarks by former New York City Mayor David Dinkins. close
