The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Center for Injury Research and Policy held a discussion on the wildfire season and public health concerns. Speakers included the former head of California’s state firefighting service, who talked about recent wildfires in the state that had destroyed thousands of homes and some of the health risks to firefighters and residents in the region. Other speakers touched on health and safety concerns for homeowners in fire-prone areas and ways to mitigate their risks. close
