Hatice Cengiz, the fiancee of the late Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, testified on human rights reporting and the protection of journalists before a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee. She urged Congress to initiate an international investigation concerning the death of Jamal Khashoggi. Other witnesses included Committee to Protect Journalists Executive Director Joel Simon, Freedom House Senior Director Sarah Repucci and Radio Free Asia Reporter Gulchehra Hoja. close
