Alex Kershaw, author of The First Wave: The D-Day Warriors Who Led The Way to Victory in World War II, talked about the 75th anniversary on June 6, 2019, of the World War II D-Day invasion of Normandy, France. On that day in 1944, 160,000 Allied troops attacked along a 50-mile stretch of coastline defended by German forces.
