The House blocked Representative Al Green’s (D-TX) resolution to impeach President Trump, 332-95, with 137 Democrats voting with Republicans to kill the measure. In a 230-198 vote, lawmakers also passed a resolution to hold Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in contempt of Congress for failing to comply with subpoenas relating to the 2020 Census. Members also approved a set of Senate-passed resolutions banning arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and an authorization bill for intelligence operations. close
