A Senate Energy and Natural Resources subcommittee held a hearing to examine ways to increase water storage and conservation, specifically in Western states. Among the witnesses testifying were Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Brenda Burman along with water resources experts from Colorado, Idaho and Arizona. The committee also considered several pieces of legislation aimed to improve water supply infrastructure and create drought-proof water supplies. close
