The House Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy held the second of two days of hearings on the role e-cigarettes play in the youth nicotine epidemic. Day two witnesses were James Monsees, co-founder and chief product officer of JUUL Labs, and Matthew Myers, president of Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Mr. Juul answered questions on topics that included JUUL’s marketing to youth, the addictive nature of nicotine, and the steps he said the company was taking to eliminate vaping and the use of the product among underage youth. The other witnesses were Ashley Gould, Juul Labs' chief administration officer, and Matthew Myers, president of Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. close
