President Trump spoke to reporters before departing for Bedminster, New Jersey. He addressed his decision to withdraw the nomination of Representative John Ratcliffe (R-TX) to serve as director of National Intelligence. “Because I felt that Congressman Ratcliffe was being treated very unfairly. I was reading the press and I think I am a student of the press .... And he was being treated very unfairly,” said the president. He also spoke about trade with China, North Korea and Russia. close
