The American Political Science Association held a discussion during their 115th annual meeting, in regard to constitutional issues in the Trump administration and what that could mean for American democracy. A panel of legal scholars discussed whether or not the U.S. is in or is approaching a “constitutional crisis” due to actions taken by President Trump, especially regarding separation of powers, executive privilege, and the ability of Congress to regulate the executive branch. close
