The Congressional Black Caucus hosted a ceremony marking the 400th anniversary of the first enslaved Africans to arrive in British North America. Participants included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, actress Alfre Woodard and historian Annette Gordon-Reed. This was held in Emancipation Hall in the Capitol Visitor Center. close
