The Deerwood Ranch Wild Horse Ecosanctuary is the first Bureau of Land Management (BLM) sponsored wild horse ecosanctuary in the United States. Located in Centennial Valley, Wyoming, this family owned ranch consists of over 4,700 acres and is home to 370 wild Wyoming mustangs. Owner Rich Wilson explained the importance of creating and managing a wild horse ecosanctuary and the role the federal government plays in maintaining it.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2019 LCV Cities Tour” in Toledo, Ohio, from October 5-9, 2019, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Charter cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
